Caravan Parks

The last time I visited a caravan park was in the summer of 2009. It was a beautiful weekend, I remember feeling like I could be there forever. But forever is a long time – essentially, I just wanted to stay a bit longer. I must have felt tired after all the travelling. It was a long journey, an interesting journey, and I remember feeling relieved when we finally arrived. The atmosphere in the caravan park was heady and friendly – it felt like the other caravanners had been there for years. But everyone was just coming and going. There were families and couples, young and old. Groups of friends. It was Worcestershire, I remember thinking how much there was to explore and see.

A good caravan park makes all the difference to your trip, I think. It always fascinates me, the different kinds of people you meet in the parks, on the road. There are people who caravan all year round and others for two weeks of the year. For some people, it’s a way of life. For others, it’s just a way of touring the country. But a good caravan park does make all the difference, I have to say.
